The Society for Innovation, Development and Medical Education – SideMED, under the supervision of the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Târgu Mureș and the coordination of Dr. Oana Vancea, organizes the first English edition of the workshop Surgical Repair of Congenital Heart Defects.

The workshop tries to have a step-by-step approach to the most efficient method for understanding the basic principles in surgical treatment of the congenital heart defects.

What is the target audience of the event?                                                                                                      Students who try to understand theoretical notions and practical procedures essential to repairing of the congenital heart defects.

How is the workshop carried out?                                                                                                                  Following a theoretical presentation, the participants benefit from the help of the trainers and the instructor who are in charge of explaining the notions and clearing up any and all insufficiently clear information; subsequent to that, the instructor will explain the practical procedures in a step-by-step demonstration, until they are understood and successfully executed by the participant.

How long does the event take?                                                                                                                                  One day, with the splitting of the subjects in such a way that all participants are permitted to go through everything in a relaxed manner, and tailored to the studying rhythm of each individual.

o Theoretical presentation on the Surgical Repair of Congenital Heart Defects
o Practical Part (VSD, ASD)

How do you know if you have been accepted?                                                                                                        The email received following the sending of the form only confirms that we have received your registration; the confirmation of acceptance to the event will be done a few days later, via a phone call, by one of the coordinators of the event, who will also deliver all relevant information regarding the location, the starting hour and payment.
