PATHOLOGIES WITH ANOMALIES – 1st Edition

How do we react when matters do not go as planned? What happens when the best way to proceed is not as per the guidelines? Are mistakes permitted in medicine?

The Society for Innovation, Development and Medical Education – SideMED, under the supervision of the „George Emil Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Târgu Mureș, organizes the first English edition of the event “Pathologies with Anomalies” on 28th of November 2022. The event will take place in Lecture Hall 1 of the Emergency County Clinical Hospital. Within the event, the guest speakers, Prof. Dr. Simona Gurzu and Senior Lecturer Dr. Ioan Macarie, will present their way of handling unusual cases they have come across during their medical careers. They will also discuss the impact their decisions had on their patients and on their own vision of medicine, and the entire journey from the taking of the medical history to the successful (or unsuccessful) conclusion of the case.
