The Society for Innovation, Development and Medical Education – SideMED, under the supervision of the „George Emil Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology of Târgu Mureș and the coordination of Dr. Monica Pantea, organizes the first English edition of the workshop Introduction to Abdominal Ultrasonography.

The workshop tries to have a step-by-step approach to the most efficient method for understanding the basic principles in recognizing, through ultrasonography, both the normal abdominal structures and also the most commonly seen pathologies in medical practice. As with the entire series of introductory workshops, the main aim of this event is to allow interested students to acquire and practice essential skills for their medical careers.

Who is the target audience of the event? Students who wish to gain a structured, efficient and practical understanding of ultrasonography imaging interpretation.

How is the workshop carried out? Following the theoretical presentations, all participants will get the chance to perform the techniques discussed on patients with the help of the supervising doctor.

How long does the event last? This event unfolds over the course of one day, with the splitting of the subjects in such a way that all participants are permitted to go through everything in a relaxed manner, and tailored to the learning pace of each individual.

How do you know if you have been accepted? The coordinators of the event will contact you via SMS to confirm your acceptance to the workshop and they will also deliver all relevant information regarding the location, the starting hour and payment details.
